The entire process took 45 minutes and when I was ready everyone on the sets was laughing! I’m happy at least all of us could have a great time laughing!” Chuckled Jay.

Sharing more insights about this twist, Jay explained, “Bakool dons Jigna’s look because Jigna’s uncle wants to meet his son-in-law, Bakool. However, Bakool is finding out ways to escape this entire situation. He tries every possible option to run away but it is of no use and ultimately ends up wearing a saree to look like Jigna and meet her uncle.”

“I don’t have a background in the film industry. During the initial days, nobody knows what sort of roles would work for an individual and that was the case with me as well. That’s why I used to take up several roles for granted but that clearly didn’t work in my favor. Today, I can confidently say, after all these years of hard work and the experience I have gained, at least I know what’s required to bring a character to life.”

Talking more about the show Dev, Ashish shared, “To give my best for Dev’s character I had prepared a few notes on my phone. It was a kind of a to-do list for me stating how Dev needs to express, right from his body language to the way he raises his eyebrows and even voice modulation wherever it was required.”

“All of this helped me to a great extent in doing justice to Dev’s character and as a result when I step out, I receive much love and appreciation from the audience. I feel content that they know me as Dev way more than they know me as Ashish.”

For Ashish, acting was never his first choice. “I took up acting as a hobby. Never imagined that I will become an actor. But I have come a long way in this field and out of all those characters I have played, Dev is close to my heart also because the character itself has taught me so much.”

Desi TV show Radha Prem Ki Deewani has been surprising its viewers with plenty of interesting twists and turns. “Playing the character of Kashyap and Prem at the same time was a little tough for me because the personas are poles apart,” Shared Sachin while talking about his two different roles.

“Kashyap is way too rowdy and ruffian. My entire look as Kashyap is extremely loud as compared to Prem. Prem and Kashyap are completely opposite personalities, but I relate to most of Prem’s qualities. Kashyap’s entry on the other hand will bring several twists and turns not just in the show but also in Radha’s life”. Added Sachit.

Sachit also spilt the beans about Prem’s character who is successful on the professional front but reveals his soft side only in front of his mother. “Prem’s character on the other hand is a successful businessman but at the same time he is ruthless. He exudes confidence but he can never accept others ruling him. He always believes in doing things either by hook or crook. His family members are dependent on him, and Prem is close to his mother and sister.”

“The soft side of this character is mostly revealed only during several conversations between his mom and Prem. Radha on the other hand is a calm, composed girl. So, that’s the point when viewers will get to know whether Radha is able to change Prem for his good sake or not.”

Jay aka Bakool from the Indian TV show Bhaag Bakool Bhaag has donned several roles on the small screen and enjoys the way his acting career graph has shaped up so far. However, the actor also agrees that some of his roles landed him in a chocolate boy image and that he wishes to take up roles that would help him break this image.

“Now that people have seen me as a cute chocolate boy too often, I want to do everything else instead. I want to portray a wealthy, pampered brat who is a casanova. Imagine how it will appear that this guy isn’t a bitchy person by face if I perform such roles with this look and body! I prefer to play such roles rather than the same old thing over and over. I have a passion for acting, but there are other reasons why individuals enter it. If you truly have passion, you will achieve the best results.” Added Jay.

The talented actor also feels that there are several similarities between his on-screen character Bakool and himself except for one. “Bakool is hard working, honest and a simple guy who can never think of bluffing anyone. Somehow circumstances put him in a situation where he is stuck between 2 wives. While trying to solve one problem, the other problem crops up. Thankfully I’m not stuck in a situation like that, but I do relate to all the other positive qualities of Bakool.”

Bakool also shares a jovial relationship with Harry who plays his best friend in the show. “ Bakool hides nothing from his best friend. He reaches out to Harry during all the tough times. Friends are the ones who also come up with a solution to your problems and for Harry it’s his best friend.”

“Bakool never holds back his sorrows in front of Harry, and he can be himself. He cries and shares his sorrows and happiness equally. Sometimes both also end up fighting each other but Bakool can only think of Harry as his go-to person to share his sorrows and happiness come what may.” Shared Jay.

Meghna Mallik’s role as Ammaji in the Hindi TV show ‘Na Aana Iss Des Laado’ is strong enough to send shivers down the spine. The actress admits that the character itself was beyond her age and gender. “I felt it was different when I first started working on it, and I wanted to keep it that way. It took a lot of hard work to maintain it differently throughout the show. There was no discomfort in portraying Ammaji’s character on screen because age and gender never affected me. My only aim was to give my best.” Shared Meghna.

The actress however agrees that Ammaji’s character demanded a lot of physical and mental strength from her. “There’s a certain body language which Ammaji’s character maintains throughout the show. To maintain that consistency in body language, a lot of physical and mental strength was required at my end. Ammaji also delivers heavy dialogues and that was challenging for me initially.” Added Meghna.

Mallik has proved her mettle in various other shows as well, but she feels that Ammaji’s character is challenging at the same time, it also helped her to move out of her comfort zone. “I have been a part of many other shows, but Ammaji’s character was challenging enough to push me out of my comfort zone. I also feel that on TV, there’s a limiared scope to explore characters as the range of characters is limited on this medium. I believe in experimenting with different shades of characters and that’s why I agreed to play Ammaji in Na Aana Iss Des Laado.”

“Being a part of a project where a character becomes so popular that it changes you as a person for good. That’s when you progress as an artist. But you can’t take the character home and that’s why for me an intense character like Ammaji is always restricted only to the on-screen performance. It doesn’t stay with me mentally all the time” Shared Meghna.

To prepare Tandoori Artichoke Hearts, here are the following ingredients that you must have:

• 6 Artichoke Hearts

To prepare Tandoori Marinade:

• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp Garam Masala
• 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
• Pinch of Saffron
• 1 cup Yogurt
• 1 tsp Paprika
• Mint and Tamarind Chutney (can be readymade)

How to prepare? 

• In a bowl, mix all the ingredients of the Marinade
• Then Marinate the Artichoke Hearts
• Keep the mixture aside for 15 minutes
• Now Skewer the Hearts in an oven and roast them at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
• It tastes best when served with Mint and Tamarind Chutney

C- Bombay Tarkari Pulao

Here’s a list of ingredients you need to prepare Bombay Tarkati Pulao: 

• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
• ½ cup chopped Red onions
• 1 cup chopped Brocolli, Zucchini, Carrots and whole green peas
• 1 tsp Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp Garam Masala
• 1 cup steamed Basmati rice

How to prepare?

• First, in a pan, heat the vegetable oil.
• Now add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and Onions.
• Saute for some time then add mixed vegetables
• Now add turmeric and Garam Masala.
• Let it cook for 5 minutes
• Now add steamed Basmati rice
• Mix it well and serve it with Raita. (side dish)
